Cub Scouts Pack #165

School Night for Scouting
"2002"

The Cub Scout Pack #165 had a successful School Night for Scouting. We had "19 New Cubs" join this year. There was a presentation by the Boy Scouts Troop #64 and some of the current cub scouts to the new members on what they do and are about. Cubmaster Mike McGrath spoke to the parents, and the Den Leaders helped parents fill out forms and answer any questions.
Door prizes were given away at the end of the night.

I would like to offer a Special Thank You to Nathan Rouse and Dustin Barton for giving the Cubscouts an excellent presentation at School Night for Scouting. It was Nathan's 16th Birthday and he gave up his night for the Cubscouts. What a fine example he is to the younger scouts.

We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead! Starting in October, we will have a Camp fire Pow Wow with an Indian Couple from the Lakota Souix and Cherokee Nation visiting us. Other events in the months ahead will be Space Derby, Klondike Race, Parades, a special Tree Program for the City Parks, Blue & Gold Banquet and the famous Pinewood Derby and lots more.
