Our Cub Scouts had a GREAT TIME at the Native American Pow Wow
held Saturday afternoon at Stoney Point Farm. The Pow Wow started with a hayride to get a closer look at the Bison. The Scouts learned much about the beautiful animals and greatly appreciated Bill Marx sharing them with us. Due to the weather, the Cub Scouts and their families moved inside and feasted on Bison Burgers thanks to Bill & Mary Marx and Chef Bob and Evonne. After Dinner our Native American friends gave a most informative "Show & Tell" about their Native Culture and heritage. They performed two war dances. "I have never seen the Cub Scouts sit still for so long, it was a great night."  At the end of the program, the Native Americans said it was a honor to be invited to share their culture and brought gifts for each of the Scouts. They also gave gifts to Mr. & Mrs. Bill Marx for hosting the event and Myself and my wife, Angie for inviting them. It was truly a pleasure to meet and learn from these fine Native Americans. I would like to thank Gus and Ada Kohler (Lakota Souix) and their friends for making this an "
Unforgettable Event!
Remember the Cub Scout Motto: "Do Your Best"
