Cub
Scouts Pack #165

Cub
Scout Pack 165 held their annual Klondike Race on Thursday
Jan. 30th
The Klondike was great fun for all who attended.
The events included knot identification &
tying, life saving rope throw, basketball toss, soccer kick, and
the sled race. Each den made their own sled out of
cardboard and raced two times around the track.
Webelos 2, (Brandon Wake, Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Barry, Garrett
Bunch, & Junior Kight) won the events and the sled race with
the Wolf den (Dylan Bunch, Dylan Gale,
Chris Corman, Christoper Coatney, Kyle Wake, Logan Wake, Anthony
McGrath, Derrick Skinner, Andrew Brower, Thomas Kazmik, Donnie
Hinton, & Devin Grindstaff) in a close 2nd and the Bear den
(Alex Biehl,
Shayne Paulsen, Patrick Kelly, Jacob Sanders, Tiger Cub &
Brenda Sorrells, Tiger Cub) taking 3rd. Webelos 1 (Taylor James, Tyler
Fredrick, Clint Harper, Tyler Barton & Levi
Wheeler) won the
best decorated sled and was runner up in the events. The scouts
also received their Pinewood Derby cars for the big race in March
and we will be having a Swim Party at the Civic Center in West
Plains on Feb. 11th.
I would like to remind the youngsters that it's not to late to
join the cubscouts. If you are in grade 1-5 or
ages 7-10 feel free to call me with any questions about joining
the Cub Scouts at 417-252-0202 or 417-469-2445. I would
also like to ask any retired or semi-retired folks to consider
volunteering 2 days a month to the Cub Scout
organization. The Cub Scout organization is one of
the best ways to give back to our community and be a
positive influence for our youth. Well that's it for now.Remember
